How to knit Lavender Sachet Dolls in the round

Head and body 

Cast on 34 stitches. Divide the stitches evenly on DPNs or use a longer Circular for Magic Loop method. Join in the round, make sure not to twist your stitches.

round 1: Join in the round and knit all stitches 

round 2:  *yarn over, k2tog* to the end of the row.

rounds 3 - 6 : Knit all stitches.

Break off  Green and join White. 

rounds 7 - 9 : Knit all stitches. 

round 10 : K6, k2tog, k1, k2tog, k12, k2tog, k1, k2tog, k6 (30sts). 

rounds 11 - 13: Knit all stitches. 

round 14 : K5, k2tog, k1, k2tog, k10, k2tog, k1, k2tog, k5 (26sts).

rounds 15 - 17:  Knit all stitches. 

 round 18 : K4, k2tog, k1, k2tog, k8, k2tog, k1, k2tog, k4 (22sts). 

rounds 19 - 21:  Knit all stitches. 

Break off White and join Flesh Tone. 

round 22 : K4, k2tog, k10, k2tog, k4 (20sts). 

rounds 23 - 31 : Knit all stitches. 

round 32 : K2tog across row (10sts).

 Cut the yarn leaving a 15 cm (6 inches) tail and using a tapestry needle take the 10 stitches from the knitting needle onto the tail. 

First embroider it and then  draw up. 

Stuff firmly . Make sure the head is really full.

Using white yarn , start at the back and pick up alternate loops round the top row of white stitches.

Pull gathering yarn to create a neck and wrap yarn round twice to secure.Fasten off.

Don't put the lavender straight into the doll. Make a small bag from fine fabric and put a spoonful of dried lavender into it

Place the liitle bag of lavender into the body.

Cut a 2 metre length of green yarn and make a twisted cord.

Starting at the front of the doll, put the cord through the holes at the bottom of the body.Gather the bottom of the ball and tie a bow in the cord.

Arms

Cast on 8 stitches  , divide the stitches on 3 double pointed needles, join in the round and knit across  round 1.

rounds 2 -5 : Knit all stitches.

Break off  Green and join Flesh Tone

rounds 6 -7 : Knit all stitches.

round 6 :K2tog to the end of the round (4 sts).

Cut the yarn leaving a 10 cm tail and using a tapestry needle take the 4 stitches from the knitting needle onto the tail. Draw up (the arm takes a tiny sausage shape).

Whip-stitch the loops on the top edge and pull to gather. Stitch the top of the arm to the shoulder. Repeat for the second arm .

                    Hat with  brim 
                               

   Cast on 32 stitches  , divide the stitches on 3 double pointed needles, join in the round and knit across  round 1.
round 2: Knit all stitches.
round  3 : *K2tog, K2, repeat from *   to the end of the round (24 sts).
rounds  4 -5 :  Knit all stitches.

rows  6 -7 : Knit all stitches.
round  8  : K2tog to the end of the round (12 sts).
round 9 : Knit all stitches.
round  10  : K2tog to the end of the round (6 sts).
Cut the yarn leaving a 15 cm (6 inches) tail and using a tapestry needle take the 6 stitches from the knitting needle onto the tail. Draw up. 
                              



                             

                   


The eyes should be about 2 stitches appart.Place two pins into the face to indicate the eye position.Use black embroidery floss to stitch two small eyes.Fasten off at the back of the head.
Stitch the hat to the head.
Make a short twisted cord and stitch it to the doll's face just under the brim of the hat.
